About WEDDZIE
WEDDZIE (weddzie.com) is an independent wedding inspiration blog created and run by one person — me. I started this blog because I genuinely love helping brides-to-be navigate one of the most exciting and sometimes overwhelming seasons of their lives.
This Privacy Policy applies to all content and features on WEDDZIE, including blog posts, the email newsletter, and any downloadable materials. By using this website, you agree to the practices described here.
If you ever have questions, email me at contact.weddzie@gmail.com. I’m a real person and I read every single email.
Information I collect
I only collect information that helps me run this blog and serve you better. Here’s exactly what that includes:
Information you give me directly:
- Email address — when you subscribe to the WEDDZIE newsletter or download a freebie. Used only to send you content you signed up for. No spam, ever.
- Name — if you choose to share it when signing up. Entirely optional.
- Comments & messages — if you leave a comment or send me an email, I’ll store that message in order to respond to you.
Information collected automatically:
- Analytics data — which pages you visit, how long you stay, and where you came from (e.g. Pinterest, Google). Anonymized and used only to understand what content is most helpful.
- Device & browser information — basic technical data like browser type and screen size, collected by analytics tools.
- IP address — collected by hosting and analytics services but never used to personally identify you.
I never sell your personal information. I never will.
Cookies & tracking
Like most websites, WEDDZIE uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — to help the site function and understand how visitors use it.
Types of cookies used:
- Essential cookies — necessary for the site to load and work correctly. Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies — used by Google Analytics to collect anonymized traffic data so I know which posts are most useful and can create more of them.
- Advertising cookies — if display ads are shown, the ad network may place cookies to serve relevant advertisements.
- Affiliate cookies — when you click an affiliate link, the retailer may set a tracking cookie to record whether a purchase was made. No personally identifiable information is collected through these.
You can manage or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect your experience on this site.
Third-party services
Running this blog involves working with a few trusted third-party platforms. Here’s what’s used and why:
- Google Analytics — anonymous traffic and behavior data. Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Email marketing provider (such as Mailchimp or ConvertKit) — to manage newsletter subscribers and send emails. Your address is stored securely and never shared with advertisers.
- WordPress — the platform this site is built on. WordPress may collect certain technical data related to your visit.
- Pinterest — this blog is designed to work with Pinterest. When you save or share content, Pinterest’s own privacy policy applies.
- Affiliate networks — including Amazon Associates, AWIN, ShareASale, and others, which track referrals through links on this site.
Each service has its own privacy policy. I encourage you to review them directly if you have any concerns.
Your rights & data choices
Your data belongs to you. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including:
- Right to access — request a copy of any personal data I hold about you.
- Right to deletion — ask me to delete your personal data at any time.
- Right to correction — ask me to correct any inaccurate information I hold about you.
- Right to unsubscribe — every WEDDZIE newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Right to opt out of data sale — I don’t sell personal data, so this is already protected by default.
To exercise any of these rights, email me at contact.weddzie@gmail.com. I’ll respond within 30 days.
Children’s privacy
WEDDZIE is intended for adults. This site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, please contact me at contact.weddzie@gmail.com and I will delete it immediately.
Changes to this policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if I add new features, join new affiliate programs, or if privacy laws change. When I do, I’ll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of WEDDZIE after any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. I’ll never do anything sneaky with your data.
